V5 GEMINI

The V5 Gemini is the fully updated version of our compact, multi-award-winning EVO3 Polaris, featuring two outlets and a 10 A rating. The V5 Gemini is a cost-effective upgrade designed for all smaller audio or audio-video systems, or as a means to expand the number of outlets on other IsoTek products via the System Link output. This creates a star-grounding configuration.

DESIGN

The V5 Gemini is a compact power cleaning and distribution bar, measuring just 270 mm in length, 80 mm in width, and 50 mm in height. It features two independently switched outlets that are both connected directly to the PCB. Most power filters of this type have interconnected outlets in series – which is not particularly clever as the differential mode noise generated by connected electronics then overlaps from one outlet socket to the next. The electrical architecture and design of the Gemini is significantly superior to such filters.

The V5 Gemini features a unique Delta filter topology, which delivers almost 20 dB of power optimization at 1 kHz (reference 600 ohms), which then improves to almost 42 dB at 10 kHz, ten times higher than the recommended standard. Leading experts agree that at 10 kHz, high-frequency interference (RFI) begins to affect performance. This is also linked to the amplifier's ability to suppress power supply noise. This electrical engineering ensures top-tier filter performance for both common mode (RFI) and differential mode interference. The PCB tracks also have double the standard copper thickness and are silver-plated.

This unique circuit delivers clean power to its two outlets – each of which is independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination via differential mode noise. This is combined with Isotek's proprietary KERP© technology (Kirchhoff’s Equal Resistance Path) to ensure equal resistance and consistent power delivery to all outlets. The internal wiring meets the highest standards, a unique 2 sq mm design with pure 6n oxygen-free copper strands, each silver-plated, offering low resistance and high amperage. An aerospace-grade fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) dielectric with very low dielectric resistance is used to protect the conductors and provides an ideal dielectric for the contact of the internal power supply system.

Furthermore, in the new V5 version, surge protection is increased to 45,000 A, which not only protects the circuit but also your valuable connected equipment via IsoTek’s unique sequential protection system.

The V5 Gemini also includes a System Link connection, which allows for the expansion of the existing 2 outlets while maintaining the star-grounding configuration when using only one wall socket for the entire system.

A wall-mounting system is also included, allowing for easy installation of the product behind your component rack, if desired.

The internal wiring of IsoTek products is optimized for IsoTek power cables. By maintaining commonalities in design and material properties, optimal conductivity is ensured.
