DESIGN

The V5 Polaris is a compact and elegant power cleaning and distribution bar measuring just 510 mm in length, 80 mm wide, and 50 mm high. It features six individually switched outlets, all connected directly to the PCB. Most power filters of this type feature linked, series-connected outlets – which is not particularly clever as differential mode interference created by connected electronics will cross-contaminate from one output socket to another. The electrical architecture and design of the Polaris is vastly superior to such filters.

The V5 Polaris’s unique Delta filter topology is ten times more effective than the recommended standard; these deliver over 20 dB of power optimization at 1 kHz (reference 600 ohms), which improves to nearly 42 dB at 10 kHz. Leading experts agree that at 10 kHz high-frequency interference (RFI) begins to affect performance. This is also related to the amplifier's ability to suppress power supply noise. This electrical engineering ensures world-class filter performance for both common mode (RFI) and differential mode noise. The PCB tracks also have double the standard copper weight and are silver-plated.

This unique circuit delivers clean power to its six outlets – each independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination from differential mode interference. This is combined with IsoTek’s KERP© (Kirchhoff’s Equal Resistance Path) technology to ensure equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets. The internal wiring is of the highest standard, a unique 2 sq mm design with pure 6N oxygen-free copper strands, each silver-plated, offering low resistance and high amperage. An aerospace-grade Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) dielectric with very low dielectric resistance is used to protect the conductors, providing an ideal dielectric for the internal power system.

Furthermore, in the new V5 version, surge protection is increased to 45,000 A, which not only protects the circuit but also your valuable connected equipment via IsoTek’s unique sequential protection system.

The V5 Polaris also includes a System Link connector, which allows for the expansion of the existing 6 outlets while maintaining a star earth and using only one wall socket for the entire system.

A wall-mounting system is also included, which allows the product to be easily mounted behind your component rack if desired.

The internal wiring of IsoTek products is matched to the IsoTek power cables. Maintaining commonality in construction and material properties ensures optimal conductivity. The multi-award-winning EVO3 INITIUM power cable is also included.
