The Van den Hul Black Crimson is a hand-crafted high-end MC phono cartridge that combines the outstanding qualities of the classic The Crimson with influences from the Colibri. Featuring a shorter cantilever (similar to the Colibri) and a special polycarbonate body, it blends energetic, dynamic music reproduction with excellent resolution and authenticity – a true insider tip among audiophile cartridges. 

Typical of Van den Hul is the completely manual production, using carefully selected materials such as a boron cantilever and long-crystal gold coils. The open body allows for low-resonance tracking, while the precise VDH-1S stylus tip ensures a very fine level of detail.

In terms of sound, the Black Crimson offers a light, dynamic, high-resolution, and powerful performance that is convincing across many musical genres – from classical and jazz to audiophile all-round programming.
