The Velodyne Deep Blue 10 (DB-10) is an active subwoofer designed specifically for home cinema and music enthusiasts who value powerful, precise bass. It belongs to Velodyne’s Deep Blue series, which is known for its high-quality construction and powerful performance.

The DB-10 features a front-firing 10-inch woofer with a polypropylene cone. It is driven by a Class AB amplifier with 350 watts of continuous power and a peak output of up to 850 watts. This ensures a dynamic bass response that is impressive for both movies and music.

The frequency response ranges from approximately 16 Hz to 280 Hz, with a usable range (±3 dB) between 28 Hz and 180 Hz. This allows the subwoofer to cover the low-frequency range very well, and thanks to adjustable low-pass filters and phase control, it can be flexibly adapted to various speaker systems.

The enclosure is made of solid MDF with an extra-thick front baffle, which minimizes vibrations and improves sound quality. The connectivity options are versatile: in addition to an LFE input, there are also gold-plated RCA line-level inputs as well as speaker wire terminals, which facilitates use in various setups.

The DB-10 features a compact design, making it easy to integrate into living spaces without taking up much room. Despite its size, it delivers impressive performance and is suitable for both small and medium-sized rooms.
