The Deep Blue 8 subwoofer from Velodyne Acoustics delivers punchy and precise low-end frequencies that blend harmoniously into any living environment. The newly developed, front-firing driver enables a particularly deep frequency response and ensures impressive home cinema experiences with palpable bass.

The construction of the subwoofer is based on a four-layer voice coil, which, together with a dual-layer ferrite magnet, ensures high efficiency, fast rise times, and precise impulse reproduction. The sealed cabinet made of solid MDF is specifically braced and equipped with walls up to 2.5 cm thick and a 5 cm thick baffle to effectively minimize disturbing resonances and vibrations. This design, a Velodyne specialty, also prevents any flow noise that can occur with bass-reflex-based constructions.

The high-performance PP High Excursion driver works in perfect harmony with Velodyne's proven Class-D amplifier technology, which reaches up to 1,000 watts of peak power depending on the model. This creates an impressive low-frequency foundation with maximum control and superior dynamics – even in compact rooms.

For integration into existing audio setups, the Deep Blue 8 offers all relevant connection options. In addition to RCA inputs for the left and right channels, a separate subwoofer input with loop-through option is available. The variable crossover, continuously adjustable phase setting, as well as connections for line-level, speaker-level, and LFE allow for precise tuning to the main speakers and room acoustics.
