The Velodyne SPL-X 12 is a high-end sealed active subwoofer characterized by uncompromising performance and state-of-the-art technology. With its 12-inch carbon fiber driver, a four-layer 4-inch voice coil, and a triple ferrite magnet system, it delivers impressive bass reproduction – deep, precise, and controlled, even at high volume levels.

The SPL-X 12 is powered by a high-performance Class-D amplifier with 1,200 watts RMS and up to 1,700 watts peak, which is controlled by an integrated DSP. Automatic room calibration (AutoEQ) ensures that the subwoofer adapts optimally to the acoustic conditions of the room. Volume, crossover frequency, phase, and equalizer settings can be conveniently controlled from the listening position via a free app.

The variety of connection options is also impressive: in addition to RCA and XLR inputs, high-level connections are available, allowing the SPL-X 12 to be seamlessly integrated into a wide range of audio setups – whether in a home theater, music studio, or living room. The subwoofer also offers a fully parametric 6-band equalizer, subsonic and high-pass filters, and storable sound presets.

The cabinet is made of solid HDF with a reinforced construction and finished in elegant high-gloss black. With a weight of around 35 kg and dimensions of approximately 38 × 40 × 48 cm, the SPL-X 12 provides a strong presence, not just sonically but also visually.
