The VPI Avenger turntable was originally a project that Harry began over 12 years ago. During the design process, the project was halted mid-production due to excessive demand from HR-X customers, leaving the design and prototype chassis on hold. The good news about the abandoned design: Harry focused instead on the development and completion of the VPI Classic turntable.

Shortly after the development of the Prime, the forgotten Avenger and its designs were rediscovered! The working title was "Tri-Pod Project." With renewed motivation, Harry has finally brought to life the table that will become his masterpiece! The unique variants of the original process were completed as special editions.

The chassis of the VPI Avenger consists of three layers of acrylic/aluminum/acrylic, with damping material between the layers, held together by three isolated steel corner posts, three bolts, and the massive bearing assembly. The corner posts, which hold the tonearms (up to three can fit), feature adjustable knobs that allow the user to easily adjust the height of the table. The fully adjustable tonearm boards are made of 5/8-inch thick 6061 aluminum for stability and secure support. The table can accommodate up to three tonearms of any manufacturer and length!
