Tubes and digital high-end, harmoniously united

The Waversa WDAC 3T is a true flagship, offering everything that defines a state-of-the-art component. A fully balanced and fully discrete output stage, arguably the best Sabre converter chip currently available (the dual ESS9018K), an output stage featuring Lundahl output transformers and two 6922 tubes for a full, passionate sound, as well as upsampling up to 1.5MHz (!) for the highest level of detail. The built-in Ethernet port makes the WDAC 3T a fully-fledged streamer.

And it wouldn't be Waversa if the WDAC 3T weren't packed with a wealth of digital innovations. The premise during development was that the WDAC 3T should produce the most natural, relaxed, "analog" sound possible.

WAP (Waversa Audio Processor)

Waversa recognized that due to resolution limitations, digital music largely ignores harmonics when compared to real-world music. WAP and WAP/X provide the solution: WAP is an FPGA-based audio processor that interprets the digital signal to approximate it to an analog signal – real music. As an extension to WAP, WAP/X then reconstructs the even-order harmonics of real music (up to the 32nd harmonic) that were lost during digital recording or digitization. This makes even digital music sound poignantly authentic, spatially expansive, and natural.

WNDR (Waversa Network Direct Rendering)

The biggest problem with streaming networks using DLNA is that the standard does not actually account for continuous audio streaming at all. DLNA is merely a standard for packet-based data transmission, allowing multi-tasking Ethernet switches to function seamlessly and with consistent accuracy. This transmission method generates (white) noise during the packet buffering process, which negatively impacts the sound of audio signals. WNDR is a proprietary and dedicated audio transmission protocol developed by Waversa to solve this problem. It minimizes latency during communication between connected network devices and ensures excellent noise immunity. Furthermore, WNDR eliminates the need for any conversion processes between protocols, effectively removing another source of error and thereby improving sound quality. Last but not least, devices connected via WNDR can utilize their WAP processors (see above) even more effectively, as they are coordinated with one another.
